![]() Originally posted by Lord Rahl:Maybe they need to suppress, like the axis version ![]() It's the little things that count, and the little things that good players know how to use, and the Katyusha pretty much has all the advantages over the Panzerwerfer, exempting that it doesn't have suppression. Again this is situational, but again it's something the Panzerwerfer cannot do. The slow four salvos also enables area denial, cutting off reserves from joining the battle for a not-inconsiderable time. But Panzerwerfer once again cannot do this. If the Axis player runs forward through the barrage and dodges it, but is forced shortly after to retreat through it, he will lose squads. The Katyusha also fires four salvos slowly over time, which can be a large advantage in certain situations. You don't even need AoE or damage changes, just make it shoot forward instead of up. The suppression is the only edge to the Panzerwerfer, and I'd be fine if they even removed it and gave it improved lethality, such as direct fire. Katyusha fires at 50m and hits within a second Panzerwerfer fires at 1m and still arrives after 7 seconds or so. Direct fire is a huge advantage, reduces the time on target and makes dodging extremely difficult even more difficult the closer you are to the target. Maybe they need to arrive super late in the game and not have direct fire, like the axis version. Maybe they need to suppress, like the axis version Yes.Įdit again: no, wait, playing factions which can build or deploy Calliopes or Katyushas should just disconnect the Axis players in the load screen.Īnother edit: as soon as players search for a game as Axis, their game should close down. No, wait, building them should make the enemy lose 500 victory points every minute. Wipe the entire map of Axis tanks too, then. Just building them should wipe the entire map of all Axis infantry.
